  • In Person Lessons

    Our office is now open for in-person lessons again. Yes!!!!! We're so excited. We missed not having everyone in person. We have used the time away to upgrade our school office to make it more conducive for in-person lessons and to keep everyone safe when you return. 

     

    Our schedule will now be hybrid with an option to continue virtual lessons or do in-person lessons. We will ask you to declare which option you'd prefer so we're prepared to receive you either online or in-person. 

     

    We ask that everyone please be mindful about your attendance. Please remain home if you've been exposed to anyone that has tested positive for COVID. We want to ensure that our staff stays healthy and doesn't contribute to the spread of any viral infections including COVID. Masks will be provided but are not mandatory. We will provide hand sanitizer and our offices will be sprayed with Lysol before and following each in-person as an effort to keep everyone safe. We ask that you are compliant with this new policy as we cautious about your safety and the safety of our team.

  • Attendance

    Our attendance policy below provides important information regarding cancellations and make up credits. Please take your time to read this section to understand Journey Music Studios posture on attendance. 


    If a student cannot attend class and they notify the office 24 hours prior to the start time of their lesson, they are eligible for a make-up lesson. ALL makeup lessons are to be rescheduled for our designated makeup day, which is the 4th Saturday of every month. You are allowed 1 makeup credit a month. You must cancel 24 hours PRIOR to the start of your lesson time to receive a makeup lesson. If a 24-hour notification is not received, the student forfeits the lesson. All makeup lessons must be taken in the same calendar month of the absence. 


    If a student is absent and does not contact the school office, the student’s attendance will be marked as a no call – no show, and is not eligible for a make-up lesson, credit, or refund. Every student is sent an email reminder of upcoming lessons. It is important to make sure we have your best contact information on file to receive all email reminders. 


    Make up credits, for approved cancellations, will be offered if the instructor has an available time slot on the designated make-up day. If the lesson is missed, it will be forfeited and will not be credited or made up in the future. Credits or refunds are not given for no call - no show or missed lessons. 


    If the student misses their scheduled make up lesson, the lesson is forfeited. There are no “make-ups” of “make-up” lessons.


    Journey Music Studios does offer makeup credits/lessons if a session is canceled by the instructor, or for inclement weather.


    Credits are issued for all teacher absences.

  • Timeliness

    Students must arrive on time for their scheduled lesson time. Every lesson will begin and end on time. Unfortunately, we will not be able to provide additional time if the student is late due to demand of our class schedules.

  • Vacations

    If a student will be missing a lesson due to being on vacation, a make-up lesson will be offered if Journey Music Studios is given a seven (7) day prior notice. If a student takes an extended vacation, you may discontinue your billing by providing a thirty-day notice. Please note that if a student takes an extended leave of absence, Journey Music Studios cannot guarantee that the student’s spot will remain on our schedule upon return without payment.

  • Holidays

    Journey Music Studios is closed for the following annual holidays: Memorial Day; Independence Day; and Thanksgiving. We are also closed the day before Christmas Eve through New Year’s Day.

  • Lesson Tuition

    $125 per month for (4) weekly 30-minute lessons

    $200 per month for (4) weekly 60-minute lessons

    Tuition is always due on the 1st day of the month and needs to be paid in full by the end of business on the 5th of every month. Your payment is late by the 6th of every month. A late fee of $40 is due on/after the 6th when the tuition has not been satisfied. If the lesson occurs between the 1st and the 5th and the student is unable to pay the full month’s tuition. The student is subject to pay the daily rate plus the late fee to receive their next lesson.

     

    All partial payments will be credited toward the student’s monthly tuition and the remainder is due by the 8th. Any account not brought in right standing (paying any outstanding fees) will be dis-enrolled by the 8th of the month and your time slot will immediately be released to the public. We want everyone to understand that your tuition helps us to continue deliver quality lessons to you and/or your child. Please pay on time to avoid incurring a late fee.

  • Monthly/Daily Rates

    The monthly rate (discounted rate) is set and based on 4 lessons given every month. We also have a daily rate (see below) that we charge if someone takes less than 4 lessons. The daily rate for monthly students will be charged if there are less than 4 lessons taken that month. The daily rates are listed below:

    30 Minute Lesson - $35 a session

    60 Minute Lesson - $55 a session

     

    We will charge the monthly discounted rate (see below) if a school cancellation has interrupted your regular monthly schedule resulting in you receiving less than 4 lessons that month. You will be charged your regular monthly rate. The regular monthly rates are as follows: 


    30 Mins (Monthly Discounted Daily Rate = $31.25)

    60 Mins (Monthly Discounted Rate = $50)

  • Pro-Rate

    If you signed up and paid your tuition in the middle of the month you will pay a pro-rated amount on your 2nd month. Whatever your credit is at the end of the 1st month will rollover to the 2nd month resulting in your proration. This is to ensure your account will be on the billing cycle at the top of the 3rd month.

  • Invoices

    Invoices are emailed to students during the last week of every month. Please make sure to include our email address in your email database to ensure our emails are not mistakenly routed to junk mail folders. We, also, include announcements on the latter part of our invoices. We ask that every student/parent take time to read the announcement portion of our monthly invoices. We often indicate important information such as school closings or event.

  • Payment

    Journey Music Studios accepts the following methods of payment. You can use CashApp ($journeymusicstudios),  PayPal (www.PayPal.me/shirlsjourney) or Credit/Debit card for monthly tuition. The monthly tuition prepays for the lessons through the end of that month. Tuition is non-refundable.

  • Discontinuing Lessons

    A thirty-day notice is required to vacate lessons. This allows us to have ample time to properly release you from the school schedule. Should you become dissatisfied with lessons for any reason your only legal discourse is to discontinue lessons. We reserve the right to change, modify, or amend these policies at any time for any reason.
